Brazil is a land widely associated with the Carnivale. The yearly event epitomizes the love of color, music and vitality that is true of all Brazilians and especially with the women here. If you want to know more about winning over the famed Brazilian beauties, here are a few handy tips.

10. They are gorgeous

Which man has not been bowled over by the exotic beauty of Brazilian women? Blessed with lustrous hair, dark eyes and skin the color of honey Brazilian women are without doubt, are some of the most gorgeous in the world. And what’s more they are not conscious or embarrassed about the fact. Here women are confident about their looks and bodies and if you like what you see, they will welcome your appreciation as well. At the same time though, theirs is a very feminine beauty even if not demure. You may see them in bikinis and dresses with plunging necklines, but not so much in pantsuits and masculine shirts. Indeed, women here are encouraged to spend a lot of their time on their looks-body, clothes and hair. Staying attractive is quite important in a culture that judges people by how they look.

9. They are friendly

Brazilian women are friendly and outgoing in nature. If a girl happens to spot you in a bar or café and you meet her standards, she will not hesitate to come up and ask you for your phone number or invite you to buy a drink for her. They are quite easy to strike up a conversation with and before long you may even find yourself sharing a joke or a song with one of them. Their openness to making friends has given them a reputation for being ‘loose’ and ready to jump in bed with the first American gringo they come across. While this may be true of some women as with any other nationaility, it is not true of all Brazilian girls. They are friendly and like to have a good time but they also know their mind and if they find a guy bothering them, they also know how to put him in his place. At the same time because of their friendly natures, Brazilian women are also likely to have a wide circle of male admirers if not boyfriends. So if you are planning to get into a relationship with your Brazilian date, you may have to learn to get along with her innumerable friends – of both sexes.

8. Comfortable with physical contact

If you belong to a culture where people remain in their personal spaces when interacting, you may have a tough time understanding why your Brazilian female friend or date is of the touchy-feely type. This is because physical contact is quite acceptable in interpersonal dealings in this culture. People in Brazil stand quite close to one another when talking or hanging out.

They take time to greet and say good-bye to each person present. Men and women usually kiss twice – once on each cheek – upon meeting someone for the first time, even if they are married. So when dating a Brazilian woman, don’t get perturbed if she is leaning slightly towards you while talking.

This is not only a sign of her genuine interest but if she happens you notice moving away, she may construe it as arrogance and bad manners. Also Brazilian women like to be courted the old-fashioned way. They look forward to be taken out to a fancy place and are happy if you wine n dine them in a stylish manner.

7. They are ambitious

Brazilian women are ambitious

Like many other traditional societies, Brazilian culture has long laid down specific roles and duties for each gender. Women were mostly expected to keep house and raise children while men were the breadwinners in the family. However with changing times and economic compulsions, women have come to acquire a greater role in decision-making. While initially they were compelled by male unemployment and things like domestic abuse, to work out of home, now more and more Brazilian women are going to college and preparing for skilled professions. In fact a recent article in the online edition of Businessweek1 mentions a survey which shows that Brazilian women are more ambitious than their American counterparts. The survey conducted by the New York-based non- profit research group, Center for Work-Life Policy shows that at least 80 percent of college-educated Brazilian women aspire to top-level positions in the corporate sector, compared with 52 percent in the U.S., and 59 percent of Brazilian women consider themselves “very ambitious,” compared with 36 percent in the U.S.

The study also mentions that women hold 29 percent of senior positions in privately held companies in Brazil and are chief executive officers of 11 percent of large companies, compared with 20 percent and 3 percent, respectively, in the U.S. Thus while Brazilian women may still have a long way to go as compared to women in many Scandinavian and European countries, the strides that they have made thus far and their desire to achieve even more is impressive. So when dating a Brazilian woman, it would be a good idea to keep in mind that behind those gorgeous looks are nerves of steel and a determination to make good in life.

6. They are close to their families

Brazilian women are close to their families

Brazilian society is firmly based on the sense of family. Despite rising divorce rates and single-parents, family members continue to be close to each other. So in order to seal the deal with your Brazilian girlfriend, you may not only have to impress her Mama and Papa but also varied uncles, aunts and grandparents. Likewise you may also have to keep in mind sundry other siblings and cousins when bearing gifts for the family. On a more serious note though, families – even extended ones – are often the first line of support when things go wrong. Likewise young Brazilians are also very close to their families and consider it their duty to take care of their aged parents. Indeed according to the Businessweek article mentioned above, one of the reasons why women remain unable to commit fully to their professions, especially in senior levels, is the need to care for elderly parents. Sixty-nine percent of the women in the survey help shoulder financial costs for taking care of elderly relatives, compared with 48 percent in the U.S. The financial support averages 13,000 reais or $7,000 USD, or 23 percent of their annual income, according to the study. Such numbers are ample proof that despite traditionally biased gender roles, Brazilian women have emerged successful, confident and attractive in the best ways possible.

  1. “have to impress her Mama and Papa”
Mama in Brazil mean suck and papa mean paste, so…
“have to impress her suck and paste”.

  2. Ok, ok… Let me see… You said that we, brazilian women, we are vulgar? Unless the part that you showed Gisele, all the arguments are: the brazilian women are easier than the others? We are not comfortable with physical contact… Not all of us are like this! Or we using this kind of bikini. I didn't like the image that you portraid about us. We are NOT like that. Just a part of brazilian women, that let me with shame to be of this country!

    • Totally agree, Im a Brazilian girl too, I hate physical contact even with people I know, I am super shy and I also super skinny, R-E-A-L-L-Y, and I know so many Brazilian girls that are just like me.. This text is so stereotypical.

      • But, even you have not this kind of body, you gota understand that (all) brazilian girls’ body is more curvilinious than the body of other girls’ countries.

  3. Exotic woman… Hmmm… Like exotic fruits… Please! And you even put that image of a black woman, as if they would serve the "gringo" purposes… That's so ridiculous that can be configured as racism… Our country has a lot of diversity . Learn more about here before to write this kind of things about us , and worse , as if all of this were to be a praise .

  4. sorry pal but u have a quite partial viewpoint about brazilian girls. example, they are so clever in social games that u probably have been illuded by theyr smart behaviour, or I could say they are givin a shit for u but only wanna have fun. includding to brazilian guys. They are very clever to social relations. The same cannot be told about brazilian or foreigner guys. Sorry… they are over all this… and u are a fool.

  5. It seems like you are describing a kind hooker!
Most Brazilian women hate soocer, don't have many male friends and avoid physical contact with strangers and wearing tiny bikinis.
There is much more than Rio, soccer and Carnival here. Did you know there are 27 states here? Soccer is not our favorite sport, Carnival is not our favorite festival and many Brazilian girls are of European origin only!
We also care about our education and career.
    This article is an insult!

  8. Jônatas Do Vale Martins I know the name of the site. I also know what a stereotype is. But I think most all of this information is so offensive that it shouldn't be written anywhere for any reason by no one about any group of women from any country!

I have been reading this kind of information everywhere. The countries I visited, many people really believed on it. During the World Cup for instance, many serious newspapers published articles about the brazilian women behavior toward foreign men telling shameful things and even brazilian people agreed, instead of calling their attetion for the fact that many women are not like that, they supported the articles. It seems like we are confirming the stereotype!

And there is one more thing, some people before coming to Brazil for the first time, read this kind of websites, and once they see this kind of information very often and everywhere they take it as truth, then they come here and act like idiots, many times with the wrong person. Many people take what they read on the internet as truth, thats why I think bad things about any kind of women or men from anywhere should be written.

By the way two people from other countries were looking for information about brazilian women for a work they were doing and these people sent me messages inbox on FB asking about the things they read, they told me what everybody knows, this kind of information is everywhere many people believe and confirm, specially Brazilian people.

I visited many countries worst them Brazil several aspects, but our country is the only country where I see people confirming bad things about themselves, where they accept, where they cant see anything wrong with it.

  9. I've dance with Brazilian women here in United states a girl was visiting from San Paulo she was a sweet heart great dancer she came up to me and we danced for hours and yeah we kissed she was very affectionate and one of the nicest girls I've ever met haha great times and thought her mom was her sister opps hahaha there very kind sweet girls

  10. Rauf Hasenli She is just trolling, most girls in Brazil, do like soccer, they do like to wear bikinis Soccer is the favorite sport here, when you say soccer, you think of Brazil, so yeah you can tell that she is just angry or trolling, because she doesn't know what she is talking about, also, Carnaval is not my favorite festival, but damm, i do think it is for the most people, she did said one thing true tho, there's more to Brazill than Rio.

  12. cyssah i agree with you my wife is brazilian from sao paulo she is of arab and italian descent we met in miami also i went to sao paulo 2 times and brazil is not what imagine all those sterotypes of brazil is not true most brazilains dont celebrate carnaval and i went to salvador bahia and porto alegre its so different its so diverse in the north there is more african descent while in the south of brazil there is more european descent the country is one of the most diverse country in the world

  13. Hi, I am brazilian, I loved this article, I lived several times and many years abroad, married an american man and a british one too, I always prefer americans over brazilian men, and I agree with all the 5 reasons, and I believe Cyssah is just out of her mind…

  14. Hey, I met my brazilian girl, but it was such a hassle, especially that they are very good looking and in a way picky! good thing is that i could overcome my shyness and do it the right way from the beginning. Then I found this website which makes the courtship easy! – here you create the date event and wait for people to apply – great!

  15. the writer of this article did a great job but, they more great things about Brazilian girl. for me jst believe I should get married to one of the great ladies in Brazil.,

  16. I don't know if what you mentioned here about many Brazilian are descendent of Europe, j don't think you are 100% right go look the graphic about the percentage of habitants and races that have here 🙂

  17. Im brazilian and loved this article! I dont think the same things like the other girls mentioned in the comments lol i loved the article and if i had a gringo boyfriend id send it to him! hahaha

  18. He posted 11 pictures and each oone of them has at least one woman,,,and yre saying he s being racist because he posted one (only one from all 11) of a black girl? racism is inside of your head! or should have him posted only white girls? open yr mind

Tenhas certeza disso!

  20. Alexssander Dragoni Tu conhece todas as mulheres do Brasil pra afirmar isso, Alexssander? Entende bem…

  21. HI there…I know this is late replay but I just saw this…
My name is Marco from europe, and I'm traveling a lot all around the world working on cruise ship's, and currently I'm in Brazil, untill this season is finish.
I saw this and would like to add my opinion about Brazilian girls.
I had oportunity to meet a lot of Brazilian girls, on my job and out of job, even to be with them more than friend.
Anyway, I agree with number 10, 9, 4 and 2 in ine way. They are really friendly girls, always positive energy and smile is something that make them so incredible, that smile is clean no fake! Than, I think that Brazilian girls dont have the best bikini body, but definitely they know how to make them look and feel sexy, every girl in Brazil can make every guy go crazy 100%, because this is the way of Brazil.
Comparing with other girls, european, american, Asian (that I meet), hmmm Brazil is nation where the people are more open to everything, open minded, there is noo tabbooes, and that is the reason why they are special.
So for sure, 10, 9, 4 and 2 from this list!

PS. If I chose I rather chose Brazilian girl, than European!

PS 2. Im going to drink Caipirinha de morango!!! :)))))))

  22. You should get used to differences and researching things before you speak, because you are black and suffer daily prejudice, should not have prejudice against others. So if the american bitches have syphilis, gonorrhea and herpes, brazilian bitches too. Fu * king americans ignorant…

  24. Complicment of the seanson to everyone that is reading this great testimony my life. if I refuse to share this testimony it means I am selfish to my self and to people I love so much whom might have similar problems in their homes, my husband left home after a little misunderstanding and never came back home, at first I thought it was a joke he left me for another lady outside, I complained to my very good friend Ella she told me she was having same problem in her marriage until she was introduce to Dr Ahmed solutionhomespell a specialist doctor who specializes in bringing back broken homes and broken marriages. 26. WTF, that's so inaccurate. Please don't assume we're okay with physical contact, cause if someone I don't know kissed me like that guy in the picture kissed the brazilian reporter I would think he's an asshole with no boundries 🙂
Don't perpetuate stereotypes. It's just useless and stupid (and most of the time just inaccurate).
Also, if you're gonna say brazilian women like soccer, don't just put a picture of a soccer themed sexy photoshoot… put a picture of Marta, our soccer player who's won many awards around the world. If you're saying we're friendly, just say BRAZILIANS are friendly, cause we, men and women, are very opened people, it's part of our culture, and it doesn't apply exclusively to women. Please don't use this as an excuse to be inconvenient to brazilian women. We hate that. People should respect us the same way they respect the women from their countries, please and thank you.

  27. I am SO NOT comfortable with physical contacts with a stranger. So if you are a foreigner and you think you can just star touching me thinking that I will like it, well you’re wrong and I’m afraid I will have to slap you all the way back to your country.

  28. It is interesting that you focus on physical appearance so much. In fact I am dating a brazilian girl and what is most appealing to me is their femininity and family orientation. They are dying to meet a guy with family values. Oh well on the other side, they are super attractive as well so I have to give you credit for that. Just make sure you are prepared with some basic Portuguese when you approach them. For me using my phone with some short phrase from websites like works the best! great conversation starter!

  29. I’m spending three months in Sao Paulo with a gorgeous creature in September, October & November…. all the flags are green and I will report back… What strikes me immediately about MY experience is that she is full of light, positive and a hard working single mother.

Having lived overseas for 7 years in over 20 countries, I am well-adapted to having a normal relationship with anyone of any culture. I also married a Basque woman for 19 years, so if I could survive that – anything is possible!

Stereotypes abound in everyone’s mind – it’s how we struggle through life. Most foreigners perceive USA persons negatively, but get into a conversation one-on-one and perceptions change immediately. It is all about contact in a personal way.

Do some nations have an obvious abundance on beauty – it is in the eye of the beholder – truly. This is why I personally, do not look for a mate in central Africa… but to someone from there, they love instantly.

A long career working in propaganda has taught me to avoid social mirroring, it is the surest way to err when trying to approach any audience.

Love and best wishes to all…

  30. First of all I am a brazilian woman (from the North) and I was just curious about how north americans and the european people see the brazilian women, so I started to research… I have to confess that it made me quite sick.
I’ve born in a big family in a very poor place of my city (Belem do Para). My parents had no money to pay a good school for me and my brothers and sisters. But ever since I was a kid I always liked to study english and to know about different cultures. Brazilian people knows how expensive is to study foreigns languages in Brazil. Therefore, I started to study it for myself. I am 31 years old now and I speak english and spanish fluently based on my own curiosity and talent. When I started to study english I was only 11 and I never thought that would like to find a “gringo” and leave Brazil.
The brazilian women are not just about sexy. We are romantic in a high level, we are not searching for a rich man, we are educated and classy, we like to take care of our man, but we are also love to be independent. Yes, we love to dance and take care of our body because it where our soul live. We are spiritual beings and we are conscious about our worth.
So, before you stereotype the “brazilian women” get to know Brazil first. And, please, never ever judge place, people or whatever it is based in what you read on internet.

    • Completely gorgeous your comment! Congratulations for your talent of learning another languages. I’m proud about the kind of Brazilian you are.

  31. A black girl saying stereotype bullshit. Are you don't stereotyped enough to learn we don't have to say this shit with no certainty? And about another women? Really???? Do you already heard about sisterhood? Please!

  33. I have a few testimony to share with you all about myself,
I was in a relationship with my husband and for 3years and we
were about getting married when we both have misunderstanding
with each other and he ask me for a divorce and we both agreed
and after 4months I head that he was having an affair with one of
my closest friend and I was very upset and worried so a friend of
my advice me and told me if I still love my ex and if I really want
to have him back so I told her yes, and she ask me to contact Dr Zuba the spell
caster and I did although I never believe on spell so he gave me something when
he was casting the spell and ask me to say my wishes on it and after the casting
of the spell a receive a phone call from my ex and was ask me at which I did and
now we are back together again I’m so happy and I wish not to ever have this mistake
again in my life. I will also advice anyone with this kind of issue to contact him for
help he is really nice on phone and always there to answer you question giving you the
good advice that you need. i will advice if your drop your contact number for easy
conversation as i did or whatsapp number. this email is or
you can contact him on whatsapp unber ;+2348167554235.

  34. I do not believe there is anything derogatory, or the author making racist comments in this article. I believe Brazilian women along with Colombian women, and Indian women are the most beautiful in the world.and I have the best opinon of them as women in general.

  36. Well… this is not 100% right, it's more 1-5 to 100 girls that fit in your point of view……
Real people aren't so beautiful. Real people are ugly. All around the world too.

  37. With the comments about Brazilian lifestyle in general, I will like to marry from Brazil.

    Name: Amin Mohammed
    Age : 27
    Country :Ghana
    Contact: +233545192112
Any interested lady from 27 to 40 can contact me.

  38. Well you have upset quite a lot of people, including me! Your article is far to sexually orientated and the satisfaction you can get from it! How the Brazilian girls are up for anything and everything! I feel offended for all Brazilian women
Your article is all about looks. I am part Indian, so dark with brown eyes and long dark hair. I was a modal and on the cover’s of many mags over the years
I also wear provocative cloths at times. However, I am quite shy, even turning down a Center fold in Playboy at the height of its popularity, because I don’t like doing nude photographs and because I had nothing to prove. Ever heard the expression “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover” !
You make all beautiful women sound cheap! Their are many really beautiful ladies in this world. not just in Brazil, remember my friend that “Beauty is only skin deep”.

  39. I guess you haven’t had a chance to meet a real Brazilian woman yet. In reality not all Brazilian women are like these pictures you have published. The media tries to sell the Brazilian woman’s image in this way with breasts and big butt, But the real women of everyday Brazilian are simple, hardworking, family bosses, sympathetic, strong personality, Scholar, beautiful, some ugly. But happy very happy because they are free to be they want.
“These stereotypes are usually harmful, and often poorly informed”

  40. Meu Deus! Adorei esse post! Sempre achei idiota o modo como vêem as brasileiras no exterior e achei o post tão foooofo! Essa pessoa vai pro céu kkk.

    Obrigada ❤

  41. This is so innacurate and such bullshit I can’t believe gringos see us like that! There are blonde, black, asian, middle eastern and native brazilians and while they look COMPLETELY DIFFERENT they are all part of Brazil. Why did you exclude the diversity of the country? Not all of us look the same with tans and big butts!

  42. Hey!!
    Nice article…
I’m actually live in USA and also think the Brasilians peoples (or girls) are more open, happy and reaAAAL.
Not all girls are so open…we are happy and we decided what we wanna…most are feminine and independent…
Most girls are like: I’m just simpatic, i’m DON’T FLEETING with you..
I love my country, Brasil is the Best!!!
    Thanks for sharing!!

  44. What Brazil women like abt Men:-
    You are a bearded man.
    You have many friends.
    You have an athletic body.
    You like babies and kids.
    You wan to build family.
You have great sense of humor.
    You are successful.
    You are an intellectual man.
    You’ve got attitude.
    You smell great.
If you’ve these qualities any Brazilian women would be impressed.
